Inspire HR won’t update

I bought a Fitbit Inspire HR - charged device and signed into Google account but I can’t get the device software to update. It just says Update failed. All troubleshooting tells me to scroll on device to settings but the screen doesn’t scroll, just shows Logo and www.Fitbit/settings. Nothing happens.

Thank you for providing the details regarding this difficulty that you are experiencing with your new Inspire HR. Thank you for trying to fix it on your own. 

Please make sure to follow the steps listed here below:

Sync the device in the Fitbit app.

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap Devices.
  2. Choose the Inspire HR.
  3. Tap Sync Now.

Check for available Firmware updates.

  1. With the Fitbit device nearby, open the Fitbit app.
    • Make sure the Fitbit device is charged.
    • Tap the Today tab > Devices > your device.
    • Tap Update (this option only appears if an update is available).
    • Follow the on-screen instructions.

Charge the Fitbit device:

  • Double-check the connection: Ensure secure connection to the charging cable and that the cable is plugged into a working USB port (computer or UL - certified wall charger).

Thanks for the response but I can’t sync the device. I will attach screen
shots. It looks as if the Bluetooth is off on the device but I can’t
operate the device at all, it just shows the same screen even after
restarting it. The screen is locked. See photos:
