Inspire HR

I’d like to vent a little. I’m so frustrated with my Inspire HR. I bought it to replace my Charge (which I loved) because it’s waterproof.  I’ve had it about a year and hate it! It randomly stops working. It bounces in and out of the exercise modes. It doesn’t always record the “automatic” exercise information. I’ve shut it off and restarted several times. So now I have to buy a new one!?  So aggravated.

@Laker1143 , gosh, that is rough! And I quite understand what you are saying... In many ways, I loved my old Charge HR best of all Fitbits.  We didn’t expect all that much out of it, but it did what it was supposed to!

Actually, probably your new Inspire HR probably does pretty much what the old Fitbit did, and just as reliably.  But technology has moved on, and some of the extra features work really well, and it is great when they do, but we get mad when there is a hiccup.  I understand!

I got really annoyed when I woke up the other morning and went to check my sleep, and my app said, “Oops!  It looks like you didn’t wear your Fitbit to bed last night!”. And I did wear it!  So I was cross... (but later when I looked I saw that I had really low battery and Fitbit does mention that yu might not get sleep recorded if battery is low...  so it was partly my fault, though I wish they had sent me a more useful error message...)

My point is, it is kind of amazing what these tiny little devices can actually do, even with so many improvements over a short time.  And it is also quite natural that we get frustrated when they don’t always do it 100%...

I would say, the best advice is to give your Inspire HR regular restarts.  That’s just good “hygiene” and should keep it running at its best.  If it is more than a year old, in most places it will be out of warranty, but if there is any specific issue you would like help with, please post again.  Often Community suggestions can solve issues.

Good luck, and wlecome to the forums!
