Inspire run tracking

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've recently bought the Inspire to track my running progress. The app on my phone tells me how long I've ran for and calories burned but doesn't show the distance.

Is there a way to get a full breakdown after each run, for example distance, average pace and calories?

Hello @Calumk1989 and a warm welcome.  The Inspire tracks only through auto-recognition.  For some reason I cannot explain, auto-recognition does not give a distance for any of the exercises it tracks this way.  It sure seems like walking and running could use a steps x stride length calculation.

If you want to get distance, pace, etc., you should try the MobileRun feature of the app.  Here is a link to MobileRun.  MobileRun only tracks run, walk and hike.

I hope this gets you the information you want.

Thanks for the response! That's a great help. I just assumed it would have a built in distance calculator which would make things easier.

Appreciate the help 🙂

@Calumk1989   I forgot to mention something with my suggestion.  Auto-recognition gets recognized and counted from the device itself.  MobileRun is an app feature -- it was developed and released before any device had auto-recognition.  Some users have experienced double counting of an exercise when MobileRun is used this way.  If you get double counting, either turn off the auto-recognition feature or delete one of the recordings.

It's a software thing.
