Inspire won’t vibrate

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just purchased the Inspire. No matter what I try, it will not vibrate when I have reached my goal of 10,000 steps. Sure, I can set an alarm, but there are no vibration options anywhere in settings or any other place.
The Inspire was a replacement for my trusty old Flex that recently died. It vibrated!

Hi, @ziggy1237 , can you confirm whether your Inspire vibrates at all?  Could you please set an alarm for a few minutes from now and check to see if it vibrates?  It is important to know if the function is working in order to advise you further.

Hi. I just set an alarm for 3:59 PM and, yes, it worked. Obviously it is me
not being able to figure out how to setup the vibration to let me know that
I reached the magic 10K step plateau.
Are you able to direct me down the right path? Thanks.

Hi, @ziggy1237 , excellent, so probably your Fitbit is working as expected.

Of it is not vibrating when you reach your goal (even though we know it can vibrate) you probably need to check your goal setting.

On your Fitbit app, click on the picture icon top left to go to your account page.  Scroll to goals and choose activity and make sure it is set to 10000.

Also click on your Inspire icon and go to main goal.  Make sure that is set to “steps”.

If you make any changes, be sure to sync your Fotbit.

Tomorrow, when your Fitbit shows yiu have 10000 steps, you should feel a gentle vibration and see a celbration on screen.  It is only a gentle vibration, so when yiu see that you are near your goal it would probably be worth keeping an eye on it just to make sure.

Please report back here to let us know how it goes.

I have almost the same problem--sometimes my Inspire vibrates when I reach my step goal (like yesterday) and sometimes it doesn't.  Any suggestions for me?  thanks.

Hi Julia. Thanks for your help. I confirm that all the settings are correct. It could be that the vibrate function, being very low compared to my old Flex, is working and I just did not feel it. It's raining today so I'm not sure that I can hit the 10,000 goal, but when I do I will let you know.

@ziggy1237 , I think that could be it.  I sometimes don’t feel mine.

I have the same problem and I have checked the settings but they are alright.

Is there anything else you can suggest?

Thanks.

Hi. Well, the good news is that my Fitbit does indeed vibrate. But, it is
so gentle that it’s easy to miss while walking or running or doing anything
vigorous. As I was responding to your query right now I got a gentle
vibrate to tell me to hurry up and get moving to get my hourly steps in. I
don’t believe that there is any way to increase the intensity of the
vibration, but I think that you, like me, will eventually “tune” into how
it works. Hope this helps. John.
