My Inspire HR still works perfectly. Until they recently updated the app, I was able to view my Monthly Step Total and take a nice screenshot of the bar graph that showed the total for the month.
Since the update, the only way I've figured out how to see the totals for the month is to click my daily total, select the Year, and then hold down the bar for the correct month and the monthly total will pop up -- but it disappears as soon as you let go of the bar, making screenshots difficult. If I select the month, it just shows my daily average.
Please tell me there's a better way to do this...

You can do it via the web interface at https://www.fitbit.com/activities
Click the "today" and you can enter the start and end dates you are interested in and it shows a graph and totals for that period.

Thank you for responding and for the work around, but why would they remove the ability to see my total for a calendar month from the app?!
Even from the web interface, it shows the last 30 days and I have to input the dates if I want to see my August totals. And OF COURSE it's in the awkward in the YY-MM-DD format starting with year instead of month.
I like my Fitbit device fine, but the app and support pretty much suck. I still don't understand why the time is so much larger than the steps on all the available clock interfaces. I wasn't buying a watch - I was buying a step counter.
Sigh. Vent over.
