New Inspire HR Set up cannot complete - iPhone 5s

Hi I've bought a new Inspire HR today.

It linked with my phone (4 digit number), shows in bluetooth devices, and is synced. However it will not complete set up as the app is telling me "Inspire HR update available .... Update Tracker" and when I go through with that it says "searching", then "loading" then within seconds, "something went wrong. There was an error while trying to update your device" "OK"

It gives me 4 troubleshooting options all of which I'm already doing:

Keep Inspire HD nearby

Enable bluetooth

Make sure you have active internet connnection

Make sure battery is charged.

 

Ive also followed other troubleshooting advice, I've unlinked and re-linked, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I've reset the tracker, I've switched bluetooth off and on.

 

Can anyone help please.

I have the Inspire and I bought it yesterday.  My set up is unable to be completed.  it gets to 4% and then stops.  I have done all the trouble shooting tips also.  I have a iPhone 8s

I'm having the exact same problem trying to set up the new Inspire we just received today on my Huawei, Android operating system 5.0.  

 

I've tried all the troubleshooting tips ..... been at it for 6 hours now 😞

Oh no. I was just trying to add in to your post hoping that someone from

I’ve just bought one today and am having the exact same problem. I attempted to use the chat online, waited for ages and then got disconnected just as I had got through.

I received my new inspire today. Attempted to set it up on my IPAD, 6s plus and 7s. It pairs with all the devices, but states it needs an update. At 6% of the update it says something went wrong with the update and instructs me to try again. Incredibly frustrating!

After like an hour waiting for the customer representative I been told they are having problems with the firmware. As soon as they tell me something else I will post it in here

Same thing on iPhone 8+ I called customer service and they tried everything and is sending me another tracker but I have to wait another week

I am having the same problem with inspire hr. I’ve tried it on my huawei p20 and iPad. It connects but says an update is needed and the update stops after a couple of seconds saying ‘sorry something went wrong’  Driving me mad 

I’ve messaged customer services but no reply as yet

Same issue here with the inspire hr and the LG g7.

 

Update always fails immediately, no progress whatsoever.

 

Rather annoying I can't use as is for now.

Thanks for all the comments I am relieved that it seems an issue with the firmware to be honest! I took it back and got a replacement and got the identical issue. Frustrating that it’s an issue which so many customer care reps aren’t aware of though.
