I got my inspire Fitbit just over a year ago and now it has water in the actual device, I can't scroll through anymore to check and read things. It dies in less than 5 hours. It's to the point where I can't use it. I lifeguard so I have to have something that is waterproof that I can use for work and I was hoping it would last long for the price I paid.

Have you tried popping it into a bag of rice to see if it can dry out?  

These days devices are not allowed to claim that they are waterproof.  They are water resistant to a certain pressure level.  If you do any diving, even into a pool, the pressure level is likely to be exceded.
