Overcounting step/Mileage count

Beyond frustrated. I used to have a flex tracker. It was very accurate slim and easy to operate. Unfortunately I lost it and had to replace it with an inspire as you no longer make the flex. I noticed that I seem to be getting way more miles than normal. I have tried deactivating the auto exercise tracker, I have recorded that it's on my dominant wrist but put it on my non dominant wrist. I am still tracking miles while folding laundry standing still. I am in a 1200 mile for year fitness activity and I need to be accurate for it. I'm also worried about starting to gain weight sense it is inaccurate for how many miles I'm doing for day I see many people of have this issue. Has anyone found a solution yet?

Hi @MjDole nice to see you here. It's always great to see new faces around.

Sorry for the issues that you're having with your Fitbit Inspire accuracy. Thanks for following this recommendations. Our team is working on this. You feedback is really important for us, at this moment we don't have more information about it. As mentioned before, we'll have to wait for the next update. You can try the steps suggested here too: How accurate are Fitbit devices?

Please note, that on bumpy roads or in a car with a stiff transmission, your device may add some steps. For most customers, the number of extra steps added when driving isn’t significant when compared to your overall stats.

Thanks for your patience! Feel free to let me know if you have additional questions.
