I just purchased an inspire 2 and am trying to set it up with my existing app from a prior purchase a few years ago. Cannot make the connection. Do I have to delete the older app in order to do this or is it possible to use my existing Fitbit app?

You can absolutely use your existing Fitbit Account. I would place your new Fitbit in its charger and make sure it’s good and charged. Before you begin I’d make sure your using the latest Fitbit App version and restart your phone before you begin.
To set up your new Inspire 2 just open your Fitbit App and tap your profile picture then scroll down and tap Set Up A Device. Now select Inspire 2 from the list of Fitbit trackers. From here just follow the onscreen instructions. If you’re replacing one device with another of the same model, you’ll be asked to confirm the replacement.
