My Inspire HR is missing more and more nights of sleep tracking. So disappointing.

@MJaneJ , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message .

The following conditions can prevent the recording of sleep :

- You record your sleep using the app instead of the tracker's automatic sleep detection.
- The tracker's battery is almost empty when you go to bed (below 25%). This prevents a regular recording of the heart rate.
- You use the metal bracelet while sleeping
- You sleep less than 3 hours.
- The bracelet is too loose or too tight on the wrist. You should be able to put your index finger between the bracelet and your arm without much resistance, so that your heart rate is recorded regularly and the sleep phases can be recognized.

I have been using my FitBit Inspire HR since early 2021 without problems. For the last 5 days, it has ceased tracking sleep. The message I get is that the tracker cannot get a consistent heart rate. It does not make sense, since the heart rate can be seen at all times. I looks like a software problem to me. Any suggestions? I have reset the tracker and switched Sleep Sensitivity back and forth from normal to sensitive.

@VictorRamos , Thank you for reaching out and for your efforts. Please leave the sleep settings as 'Normal".

Please try turning the heart rate off and sync your Inspire HR.

Turn it on again and don't forget to sync your device again afterwards.

On your device, open the Settings app then Heart Rate then tap to turn the setting On.

Also try wearing the Inspire HR tighter or looser during your sleep.

Hope this helps.

Hi Juan: I proceeded as per your recommendations without success.

Perhaps FitBit disconnected my premium account?

I think my Inspire HR is working fine as it keeps measuring HR all the time. It does not cease at night.

I have several images that I could share but this system does not permit it.

@VictorRamos , Thank you for your reply and further information.

Here you'll find how a Premium subscription can be cancelled. Fitbit does not cancel Premium without notification.

Please make sure that the latest version of your Fitbit App is installed

Please follow these steps, some of which you have already done, but the order is important:

  • Restart your Inspire HR.
  • Please on your mobile device, go to Settings>Bluetooth, and remove all connections that exist with the tracker. (Forget, ignore or unpair device depending on the phone OS version)
  • Turn off Bluetooth and restart your phone. (switch off and on again).
  • When the phone is back on, turn on the Bluetooth again, but DO NOT attempt to connect to the tracker from here.
  • Go on the app. From here, try setting up the tracker as a new device.

Wear the Inspire HR at least for 3 days during your sleep and make sure that the heart rate is being recognized.

See you around.

Hi Juan: thanks for the interest in my case.

I followed your instructions and after a day a got my tracker to report sleeping score. Unfortunately, today it failed again.

As I have mentioned before, the tracker reports HR all the time. It doesn’t show gaps during nighttime.

@VictorRamos , Thank you for your message and further efforts. No need to thank me. The Community is here to try to help us each other.

In that case, it seems that the issue is being caused by the Fitbit app.

What happens when you restart your phone? (off/On)

Do you see a message underneath of where the sleep graph should be? If so what does it say?

See you around.
