Spoiling Christmas 😢

Dear Fitbit

Please change your utterly ridiculous child rule. I have two children here upset on Christmas Day because they chose a Fitbit and now can’t use it, unless I create a profile and lie about their age.

IF you are going to insist on this policy, you should not be allowed to market the products as you do and there should be VERY clear advertising in BIG LETTERS next to the products on shop floors stating these products are not suitable for children.

Absolutely hopeless and VERY disappointing from such a big brand. You should hang your heads in shame over this. It’s disgraceful. If certain aspects are not suitable for children they should be able to be blocked automatically by your app when the child’s age is inputted, but to be honest it’s all a bit ridiculous. I wonder how many stocking fillers are going to be causing tears this morning?! SORT IT OUT PLEASE.

I had to save up hard to buy these for my boys and I am very upset that you have spoiled their special day.

@Pootle765  Hopefully you can return them and consider the Fitbit device that is advertised for kids - the Ace and Ace 2.  Just like other social networking sites, federal law prohibits children from setting up their own accounts. If you get the Ace, it will allow you to set up a parent account, a locked down account creation process for the kids and then you can have control over the info being retained on your kids.
