Step count went to 0

My fitbit inspire hr was counting my steps but I couldn't navigate anywhere from the time screen with the step count displayed.  I connected it to the charger and reset it by holding the button down for 5 seconds. I was able to navigate from there but my step count if over 8000 was now zero.  Can I get those steps back?

Hi @Irenemay  Oh no! How annoying. Try syncing it to you app again and see if they appear in your app. If not restart it a couple more times, but if they dont appear I think they are sadly gone. If they are gone you can manually enter a walk in the app for that approximate number of steps (Id guess trying about 5km distance might be about the right distance). Those steps wont be useful in challenges but would be visible to you so you dont feel like it was wasted effort.

Restart your tracker

Manual Logging
Next time you want to manually log an activity, on your phone go to the fitbit app and tap the exercise tile (the running man). On the screen that comes up tap the stopwatch icon in the top right corner. On the next page start to type in the activity. A drop down list should come up. Select the Activity off the list, fill in the details and hit Log it and you are done!
