My inspire 2 is not tracking accurately. I’ve only been up for a few hours and it has me at 28,000 steps already. Is there a setting I need to adjust?

Hello @KNyman

It might help to restart your Inspire 2. Restarting your Fitbit does not cause you to lose any data and helps with most issues that occur.

To restart your Inspire 2 just plug it into its charger then press down and hold the button on your Fitbit until you see a smiley face appear then release the button. You should feel the Inspire 2 vibrate indicating the tracker has completed restarting.

If you wish to remove/edit the steps you feel you didn’t earn you can do so.You can’t delete steps and floors; but instead, log a non-step-based activity such as driving to override the steps or floors. Look here to see how it’s done: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1306.htm

😃 I hope this helps and gives you the best answer for your question. P,ease let me know

My versa 2 has been doing this every few days for about a month. Like now, i started off at 0, but less than being awake an hour I'm up to 41000 steps. It doesn't give the 10000 step celebration, just I might happen to look and midmorning I'm up 20000-30000 steps. Around the same time my versa 2 started dying much earlier and more frequently than it did before. SO IT essentially powers off every day now instead of after a few days. It's very frustrating,  especially when most days the country is accurate. HELP!
