Swimming activity falsely recorded

My device keeps tracking me as swimming when I'm not. Just doing everyday activities, not workout activity.

Hello @We2Shallwalk, welcome to the Community Forums! It's a pleasure to assist you today. 

 

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then? If you haven't already done so, please try the following steps to restart your device:

 

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the tracker until it attaches magnetically. The pins on the charging cable must connect securely with the port.
  3. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 5 seconds. 
  4. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.

My Fitbit sometimes records me as swimming when I’ve been folding laundry,

Thanks for sharing this with me. Can you please let me know how many times you experienced this? Do you usually do an swimming activity or can you deactivate this option from your account to avoid this issue to happen in the future? If you haven't already done so, please try the restart process that was shared on my previous post and let me know how it goes.
