Your Fitbit device records your swims even if you’re a novice swimmer, meaning you can swim about 6 to 12 lengths of the pool without stopping to rest. If you’re unable to swim this distance, you may notice inconsistencies in your swim data including some lengths not counted. As your swimming ability improves, you’ll likely notice fewer inconsistencies in your data. You can swim for that period of time with your Fitbit.
Enter the pool length in meters or yards before you start your swim. Remember to update the pool length if you use a different size pool.
- On your Fitbit device, open the Exercise app > Swim.
- Swipe up and tap Pool Settings.
You can track swim with SmartTrack or from the Exercise app on your Fitbit Inspire HR.
