I upgraded my fitbit to a versa from an inspire HR. I sold my old fitbit but they're having problems setting it up.. Is my inspire still synced to my account

If your phone is out of bluetooth range from the fitbit then it won't be a problem.
If it is in range then check your phone's bluetooth settings and delete any connection to the fitbit.
Have they checked that their phone is supported by fitbit at www.fitbit.com/devices ?
