I've read a lot of other forum chats to see if the problem is resolved but it seems that the answer is simply 'the bike will automatically begin tracking when you begin riding - there is no GPS mapping as of yet for a bike'.
I found a way around this - to press play in a 'RUN' mode to create the Bike Map that I want. This is the only way I am able to log in a bike ride with a bike map. However now I have 2 entries - one for bike and one for run. If I delete the run, I lose the map for my biking.
1. How do I keep my 'fake run' bike map without having multiple entries?
I have also found some inaccuracies doing it this way - the 'run' will log the complete map but, even though I am biking, the map will only record half the course?
2. Automatic recognition of a bike ride is inaccurate - how to ensure the bike map is complete?

Hello @_littlelostie and welcome to the Help forums. There is a Bike shortcut on the Exercise app that is GPS connected. I don't understand why you are using any "Run" feature. Can you please describe what is happening in a little more detail?

@LZeeW
To clarify, I use both the Bike shortcut on the exercise app and "Run" feature on the phone to connect GPS.
I have found even though I use the Bike shortcut at the beginning of my workout, it is inaccurate and I am only able to obtain half or even less of the track that I have done. Note - I always make sure that I see that it is connected on my Fitbit before beginning and still have this end result.
I only began using the "Run" feature, to have a more accurate bike map and this was after I kept having the same issue of my Fitbit not recording my bike exercises. Only rarely does it complete a map without the run feature - out of 9 bike rides in the last 2 weeks, I've only been able to keep 4 recorded in the Fitbit app, as they have been the most accurate. The other 5 were not recognized with just the Bike Shortcut.
