I am trying to syc my new fitbit inspire 2 to my phone app.  do I have to remove the old inspire first?

You cannot have both Inspire and Inspire 2 connected to same account.

But, just staying in same account, go to Add a Device.  When you choose Inspire 2, it notes you already have Inspire connected and asks if you are replacing it.  Say yes, and it will take care of removing the Inspire for you.

Hopefully sync from older device first to make sure you get all data from there into your account.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
