Alarm turns off automatically

The alarm on fitbits turns off automatically. This is a huge issue as I'm a heavy sleeper and need sustained agitation to wake me up in the morning. And that's not going to happen if my fitbit alarm turns off automically after 1 minute of vibrations. The purpose of an alarm is to go off until it is manually turned off. Why is the auto shut off feature even a thing?

Hi @Brown--round - There are several things you can do that can help.

  • In watch Settings, set vibration on strong,
  • In watch Settings, set a Sleep schedule which ends before the alarm, to make sure vibration strength stays strong
  • Don't use Smart wake for the alarm
  • Set several alarms at one minute intervals [up to 8], that way the watch will vibrate and continue vibrating till all have vibrated, maximum 8 minutes of continuous vibrating

Each alarm, unless silenced, will snooze and come again in 9 minutes after the one minute vibrate period.

If that doesn't work buy an Alarm clock!!
