This is a new problem, until today everything synched fine. Now the app cannot find the wearable. I have tried redoing the network setting but no go. I have tried rebooting the wearable but no luck. Since the app cannot find the wearable I cannot remove and reattach the wearable from the app.

Issue solved when app update was located and installed. Odd that a missing update would cause this.

I am running Iphone 7 with the latest OS version installed. Neither the app nor my windows 10 box can find the watch to set it up. I have shutdowm and restarted the watch, rebooted the watch I dont know how many times, removed and reinstalled the IPhone app. I have followed the trouble shooter for cannot synch and nothing is helping.

It´s nice to see you back @Joanna-p. Welcome. I´ll be glad to assist you with your set up your watch inquiry. Thank you for mentioning the steps you have followed in order to resolve this situation.

Carefully review the requirements below and move on to the troubleshooting steps if needed:

If you're using the Fitbit app for iOS:

  • You followed the instructions for your device in How do I set up my Fitbit device? Note that you can't set up your Fitbit device from your phone or tablet's Bluetooth screen; you must open the Fitbit app and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • The software on your phone or tablet is up to date. To see if an update is waiting to be installed:
    • iOS—Tap Settings > General > Software Update.
  • The Bluetooth setting on your phone or tablet is on. To find it:
    • iOS—Tap Settings > Bluetooth.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you for the heads up @NellyG.

Keep on visiting the forums.

I have done all of that and no luck. I decided to try it this morning and got no where. The setup works until the point where it goes to the bluetooth to find the watch. Eventually the process halts an i get told that the app cannot find the watch. I have tried using the bluetooth on my laptop to find the watch but with no luck. At this point in time I have proved, to my own satisfaction, that the bluetooth on the watch either go shut off some how or the bluetooth on the watch has quit completely. I have half a days worth of exercise that has not synched.

Please note that because I cannot pair the watch with my app I have no access to things like "all day synch" or any other setting that requires me to talk directly to the watch. In order to get some basic data, today I installed Mobile Track. This is far from my favorite way of doing things but it will at least make sure that I track steps and distance.

From what I have read on the forums it takes all day synch turned on to enable wifi. It was on when the synching stopped so I have no clue as to what is going on.
