Auto pause is not resuming when Running again.

I just recently got a versa of my birthday. I am trying to work out the auto pause functionality because when i stop running the run is paused and not logging time/distance but when i start running again the watch remains paused. Should I have to manually press play every time i start running again after it has been paused?

I believe that Yes, you have to manually restart the exercise when Auto Pause is enabled.  That's been my experience anyway.

Just got my Versa. I chose the auto pause option but I don’t see that it works. It starts timing as soon as I press play. On my Apple watch it didn’t start till I actually ran.
