Average pace per mile incorrect

The average pace per mile is way higher than my actual pace per mile. Today I ran 3.1 miles. Mile 1 was 9:07, Mile 2 was 8:39 and Mile 3 was 8:45. The last 1/10 I cooled off and the pace was 10:36. It says the average was 9:17. It almost looks like it equally weighted the 1/10 with the other three miles. Happens every time I run. Any ideas?
