Battery drain

For the past few days my Versa is draining battery like crazy. I have to recharge it every other day. I took it off the charger yesterday around 5:30pm, and 24 hours later it's just above 50% (and 20% of that was while I was asleep!). I haven't used it any more than in the past and no differently, don't have an interactive face, don't use it for music, etc. What is causing this, and how can it be fixed? I had to deal with the Android battery drain/data usage a few weeks ago, and now this. Not pleased!

@sparkybear, you might want to turn off your notifications. Some app’s maybe running in background. Here are a few tips fro Fitbit website. There’s allot of resources on Fitbit website. Do a search on battery and everything for battery tips will show up.

when you do your search make sure your under versa.

WHY DOES THE FITBIT APP NEED TO RUN IN THE BACKGROUND?

The Fitbit app runs in the background to keep you connected with certain Fitbit app features such as all-day sync, connected GPS, and receiving notifications from your phone.

If the Fitbit app doesn’t run in the background, you may notice some issues with app features, such as:

  • Delayed notifications from your phone
  • All-day sync not syncing your Fitbit device
  • Connected GPS losing connection
  • Apps not running correctly on your watch

If you choose not to run the Fitbit app in the background, you can still manually sync your Fitbit device by opening the Fitbit app. For more information.

WHAT ACTIONS CAN I TAKE IN THE NOTIFICATION?

When you open the Fitbit Sync Service notification, you’ll see the last time you synced your Fitbit device. The notification also provides an option for you to sync your device without opening the Fitbit app, or to take you directly to the Challenges or Account tabs in the Fitbit app.

CAN I HIDE THE NOTIFICATION?

To hide the Fitbit Sync Service notification:

  1. Press and hold on the notification.
  2. Turn the notification off.
  3. Tap Done.

The Fitbit app continues to run in the background, but you won’t be notified.

If you hide the Fitbit Sync Service notification, you’ll receive a different notification from the Android operating system letting you know the Fitbit app is using battery resources. All apps that run in the background affect your phone’s battery life.

To hide the Using battery notification:

  1. On your phone, swipe down to see your notifications so that the Using Battery notification is fully visible.
  2. Press and hold on the notification, and then turn it off.
  3. Tap Done

Hope hope this helps

Those tips pre-suppose that a user is unhappy with battery performance overall, from the start.

that is not what the original post says.

she is saying that battery performance HAS CHANGED in the last few days, despite Usage profiles NOT CHANGING.

At best, implementing those tips would only cover up the existence of some kind of problem, and not actually fix it.

Honestly, what happens if you follow all those tips, and then later on battery performance takes another hit?
