Did you mean:

Battery icon

Battery icon periodically appears with a line though it. When I activate display, this icon appears at the top then slides up out of sight. I need to cancel that appearance. How to do that????

Hi @trc9   If it is a white icon with a slash through it, then that indicator says your Versa 3 lost its Bluetooth connection with your phone.  It is one of four Status Indicators. The other three are:

  • A circle with a crescent moon means you are in sleep mode
  • A circle with a horizontal line mens you are in DND
  • A red battery with a slash means your battery is critically low

You can turn off these indicators, if you want.  Open your Settings app on the Versa 3, tap on Display, then scroll to the bottom to Status Indicators.  Toggle it off.

If you see this periodically, then your phone just might be out of range.  If you see it when your phone is in range, then you might want to investigate.  Some people find these very useful.  The touch screen is very sensitive and you can accidentally make changes in your Quick Settings.  The choice is yours.  But it is all on or all off.

Thank you. Turning it off worked. The icon was the battery with a diagonal
slash but the battery charge is seldom below 90%. I start out at 100 in
the morning and by the next morning, it drops to about 89% so the battery
appears healthy. Anyway, the problem is solved. Thanks again. BTW I tried
chatGPT and Grok neither helped.

@trc9   I'm very surprised that you are getting a critically low battery - the red battery with a slash - when you battery is still at 90%.  Keep an eye on your battery performance.
