I've had my Fitbit Versa for a few weeks now and the battery life is just rubbish (so much so that it's just been sitting on the charger unused all day today).
The battery life was one of the main reasons I chose the Versa rather than renewing my Apple Watch (which had a typical Apple 3-year sudden death syndrome) and I'm super disappointed that I need to charge it fully at least once per day.
Having done some research (I'm fairly adept with Google 😉 ) I have over the past 2 weeks:
- turned off all day sync
- deleted 3rd party apps (including pre-installed)
- turned off quick view
- turned off heart rate monitor (seeing as this is one of my main reasons for buying it, I only tried this for 2 days...but it made no difference)
- restarted at various stages of chargedness
A typical 24hr period: watch completely died at 19.00 Tues and put on charger until 23.30 (bedtime) when it finally switched to 100%. Woke up at 5.45 on Weds 77%, Walk to work (circa 9km) 63% at 8am, then losing 5%+ per hour until finally completely conking out in the evening. This is so frustrating and disappointing as I really enjoy using it when it works 😕
Can anyone offer any (untried) tips that don't involve completely disabling all functions of the watch?? Thanks 🙂
Ps. I sent a message to this effect to customer service on Wednesday morning (CET) and have not received a response (not even an acknowledgement - so maybe it didn't send properly).

With my ionic I was charging twice a day .It went from 4 days to 12 hours in a week .
In two hours it dropped from 100 to 87.
I did a factory reset and it now has been 36 hours and I'm at 75%

Ok so I tried the factory reset 24hrs ago and my battery is again at only 4% 😢 (yes I did switch off continuous sync and quick view)
I'm falling a bit out of love with my Versa and kinda wishing I’d gone with the Apple Watch after all...
ETA - I didn’t do anything special yesterday either. No workouts (boo) nor much looking at my Fitbit

Maybe you have problematic battery? OR there is something working always in the backfground and draining your battery?
Im new to Versa i bought it on Thursday and around 17:00 i charge for first time to 100% ... Now its Sunday 13:00 (almost 3 days after) and I still have 53%..

I'm assuming your Versa is under warranty and you have already contacted Fitbit
Warranty link found below, Fitbit contact found in the top right or under Fitbit help on the web or app.

Thanks for the responses.
Yes I contacted FitBit on Wednesday morning, but they haven't responded 😞 Disappointing!
I don't see what could be running in the background really - I disabled as much as a could without turning it into a very expensive bracelet 😉

Same issue for me... battery working fine and then now has been lasting for less than 10 hours. What I love as the response is to essentially remove everything from the watch and hope that helps?? Or being asked if I know how to charge a watch properly is also super beneficial 😱 I am just going to give more money to Apple and get a watch from a company that at least will fix their crap when it breaks.

I ended up being sent a new one which worked perfectly as expected. This might just be because my Fitbit had battery issues from the start, but maybe worth contacting them anyway?
