I’m absolutely loving my Versa so far, but I’m a little concerned about the accuracy of the calorie output values. The BMR is right on point with the MSJ equation, which is awesome, but the Versa data showed today that I burned upwards of 2,400 kcals. I’m a 5’1, 140lb, light to moderately active female, and I find it tough to believe I burned through that many calories. Using the activity factor multipliers, I’d have to be intensely active every day in order to hit that number of calories. The HR data has been consistently accurate within 2-3 bpm’s, so I don’t think that hasn’t anything to do with it.
More concerning is a study I came across from 2017 that demonstrated the Fitbit Surge was off by 27% despite the fact that the HR data was fairly accurate. For the amount of money I paid, I was hoping for something a lot more reliable than that. Thoughts? Experiences?
Thanks in advance!
