Can Fitbit App manage a Versa AND a Versa 2?

I just received my new Versa 2, set it up with the iOS App, and the watch is working fine. Then I used the App to try to access my old Versa, which has some problems. When the App found the old Versa, it seems to have wiped away my new Versa 2 data, as it is not listed under my account.

To use the App with my Versa 2, do I have to "set it up" all over again?

You cannot have a Versa 2 and a Versa both set up on the same account.

Your symptoms sound like you might have created a new Fitbit account with a different email for the Versa 2.  That would explain not seeing Versa 2 data when looking at Versa, because Fitbit would consider them totally different accounts.

What I would have expected if you had tried to set up the new Versa 2 in the same account, it would have said 'you already have a Versa set up; you cannot have both; do you want to replace the Versa?"'

Thanks. The link you provided has the confirmation I need: "For Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Charge 4, Fitbit Charge 5, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, Fitbit Luxe, Fitbit Sense, and Fitbit Versa series, only connect one of these devices to your account at a time."

So I do have to re-do my Versa 2.

Hi @fastdude  - often having 2 accounts with one watch on each can be a simple way of using 2 watches.

You only need logout and login to the other account to sync.

You will need to install each watch on it's own account with the Versa 2 on your main account in order to get continuity of data and notifications etc.

You may find SimpleCheckUp app useful if you choose that solution as it tells you on the watch the last time you synced, generally once every 5 days is sufficient.

Thanks. I only have one Fitbit device: the Versa 2. The original Versa is apparently fatally damaged, as the iOS app, after connecting to it with the 4-digit code, aborts every time, stating there is a problem.

It would have been nice if the app directly alerted me to this situation BEFORE I proceeded to load the original Versa.

Oh well. Life goes on.
