Can I download Pandora playlists to my Versa?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I'm a spin instructor. I carefully curate my playlists for class and it would be great if i didn't have to balance my phone on my bike every time I teach. I liked the idea of playing music from my watch, but it looks like this won't be possible with Pandora.

As far as I can tell,  Pandora will only let's me sync "stations", not playlists. I just went through all the trouble of making a playlist on Pandora, and apparently I can't even play it on my new Versa? Going to return the Versa to the store if I can't solve this problem.

UPDATE: I returned it. I like my Charge 2. If the Versa won't play my music specifically, it's not worth having a much larger object on my wrist 24/7. I will wait for the Charge 3 (which hopefully comes out soon since my Charge 2 has had a crack in it for months).

Do you have a Pandora Plus or Pandora Premium account?

I have Pandora Premium

Hmm... That's weird. I remember being under that impression that Premium users could import their own playlists, but Plus users couldn't. I would contact support.

I was only able to select stations.  I got a Pandora membership to try it out.  I had to go back to the Versa description to see it does say "stations".  Just what I want, a random bunch of songs I may like. Another disappointment from Fitbit.

It can be a little confusing with Pandora on the Ionic.

By digging around, I found out that the Fitbit Pandora app uses Pandora's "offline mode". This is because it needs to download the music ahead of time.

So, if you go into the Pandora app on your phone, and toggle it to Offline, what you see there is what you'll see on the Versa. For Pandora Plus, that's the top 3 stations.

I hope there is an fix for this issue soon. I upgraded my Pandora to premium and created a playlist only to find out I cant listen to it.

I think using Thumb Print Radio Station, you can go and listen and put a thumbs up next to songs you like and they will be saved and automatically added to the watch.  I now did this after thumbs up 10 times on that station, and it should now be a playlist on my watch.  This should solve everyone's problem.  Correct?

Hey everyone, I hope you are doing fine.

Regarding your inquiry, you can't download playlists from Pandora to your Fitbit Versa. I know that it would be great to have this option, so please take a look at the Support Pandora Playlists (not just Stations) request, vote for it and leave your comment.

For more information, you can also check the help article How do I listen to Pandora stations on my Fitbit watch?.

Let me know if you need anything else, even if you some of you returned the Versa. Smiley Happy

There are only two choices for Pandora on Fitbit Versa:  Complete sync of all stations/playlists or choose from Pandora workout stations.  There doesn't seem to be a way to choose a specific playlist or station from your personal curated music.  I have other music on my Fitbit and there isn't enough space to sync all my music from Pandora so I'm stuck.

Does this work on the versa 2?

Same. What's more disappointing is that I'm sure that they could easily do it.

Why can’t we add our own music onto Versa 3, and why can’t we add Spotify music and playlists and Pandora playlists either?

In my opinion this is a major disappointment.  Not only can we not load our own songs onto the new Versa 3 and Sense (a feature on previous versas and the Ionic) but we can’t add Pandora playlists or Spotify music either.  The only option here is to add Deezer playlists but I rarely come across someone who utilizes Deezer so that’s no help either.

Please, allow use to load our own music onto Versas and Ionic, and if this is not possible please allow us to load Pandora music including playlists, Deezer music including playlists, and Spotify music including playlists.  It’s understandable if an upgraded subscription of these services is required but please give us the option.

I believe Garmin and Apple Watch both have the option to load Spotify music onto their respective wearables so it must be possible.  It would also be widely appreciated by the community and would surely lead to many sales of this device.

The main problem here is that on previous versa models we had to bring our phones when we went out on a run or walk due to the device’s lack of GPS.  We now have built in GPS on Versa 3 and Sense which is amazing but we can no longer download our own music and have severely limited options with services and what we can load with them.  It’s not helpful upgrade because we still have to bring our phones to enjoy specific music we enjoy unless you are one of the few who utilize Deezer.

One last thing: Please DO NOT say here’s the Versa 4 you can access all the features listed above and then not include these features on the previous Versa models, or at least Versa 3 and Sense because on these devices can we no longer store personal music we have purchased.  Even if we may not be able to store as many songs as previous models a reasonable number should be enough.  Music storage is definitely possible because we have Pandora and Deezer storage integrated on all Versa models and the Sense.

Fitbit please read and understand this request.  I feel like some of the core features of a fitness - smartwatch device have been neglected that could be added.  Aside from music, we also lack the ability to respond to messages on iOS devices or check our recent messages.   One feature I would love to see added is the ability to add alarms with a quiet beep instead of just a vibration on devices with a speaker as a simple vibration simply isn’t enough to wake me up.  Another is the ability to exit the exercise app while in an exercise mode.

You don’t have to add all these features but even if you just add the music feature that should be enough.  However if you go the extra mile and implement some of the suggestions listed above the community would definitely appreciate it and I’m sure your sales would increase as well.  I know it takes time but when you have the chance to add these features it would really help!

Thanks for reading!  I apologize for any errors while writing this message.  I tend to make mistakes so please don’t blame me, we’re all human!

Agreed, im even considering getting a different watch. Sometimes stations dont even work. They never change when on the charger like their supposed to. Kinda defeats half the purpose of me buying it.
