My Fitbit Versa inaccurately records run distance if I run without my phone. I’ve tried to edit the distance but it reverts back to the estimated logged distance (which I understand is from average stride). Is it possible to edit the distance manually? Thanks!

Hi, as I can see it your main problem is not having your Phone with you while running, for two reasons:
1. You loose BT connection
2. Without your phone no GPS is used.
How do you know what distance you've ran?

I normally run with my phone but occasionally I don’t and when I don’t I want to be able to adjust the run manually. I know the distance as another runner has tracked it accurately with gps. The only way I can see to log it correctly is by deleting the automatically recorded run and logging it manually. It seems silly to have to do it in this way.

hi, you're right that's silly but as you left your phone at home, there is no other way than to change it manually. IMO, the best way to do that is go to your PC and type www.fitbit.com. Ever since you're logged in, this should show you your personal dashboard. Go to the square that says activities and palce your cursor directly underneath it and it will show you on the right side: "see more", Press that, and you will get a screen showing you Food, Activities, etc. When it's not on Activities, press that, scroll down to the page and got to log activities, press the icon you need, e,g, run (the second one from the left) and add your activity duration. Hope this helps.

Exact same question here. I hiked yesterday and the map is correct (also used other app but it is also a familiar trail) but the total distance is incorrect. Help says I can edit in app using the "pencil" but that option does not appear.
Perhaps this error is part of the known GPS error. However, we should be able to edit the distance manually.

and I did have my phone with me so it was not related to not having BT as one reply claims.
