Is there any way to turn off the double tap to wake feature?

It's really annoying to have the screen turning on because it's in contact with latex wrist seals while kayaking.

Hi there, @TrickyDee. Thanks for stopping by in the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post. I understand how annoying this can be.

Please note there's no way to turn off the double take screen wake feature. It will work either if you have the screen wake in manual or automatic.

It is insane that people have been complaining about this for years and years and yet it hasn't been fixed. It would clearly be a simple fix to add that feature to sleep mode but apparently Fitbit doesn't actually care about its customers. I'm so tired of trying to get my baby to sleep in a dark room and my watch wakes up every time just from patting his back. I'm considering getting something else because of this one ridiculous feature.
