I purchased a Rose gold/peach Versa and I just read from a number of people saying the colour rubs off. Is this true? Would working out make the colour rub of more? I was going to go with the black/black but I have too many black things and I saw the peach and fell in love with it. Now I'm not so sure anymore!

As with any anodized aluminium the coloured layer can become "worn", If you scratch it deep enough it will show the bare silver aluminium. The durability of the coating is unknown at this stage.
As for working out with the Versa? Well that's kind of what it was designed for.
Some people purchased rubber casings to cover the frame of the Ionic, maybe a similar product will be available for the Versa. Personally I find them ugly so use mine unprotected, although I run the risk of scratches.

I was worried about the peach band getting dirty... I never thought about the color coming off the watch!

Dang, I forgot about the fact that it can get dirty too... I really should've ordered the black/black

I have been wearing my Ionic day and night since October and have not experience any color rubbing off.

As far as I understand, Versa bands are manufactured using something different. Not only it's different from the Ionic's "durable elastomer material" but they're also different from the "durable elastomer material" which was used to manufacture previous bands.
The Ionic does not suffer from decoloration, but the Versa bands are very different.
However, I don't think that losing color would be a main concern when everything your light-colored band touches may just leave stains on it.
Hopefully that's not going to be the case.

They claim that the versa bands are stain resistant....so they shouldn't get dirty like the previous fitbit bands...I'm curious to see this

Where did you see that?
I assumed they're because they use a different material and because otherwise Fitbit wouldn't dare to release a white one. But I also would like to find a reliable source with that information.

It really does not say that on the User Manual, nor the Store page, nor the the Versa Smartwatch dedicated page, nor the Tracker comparison page.

All light colored silicone bands get dirty. Sounds like a marketing ploy.

Interesting.....it use too. When the preorders first started. I recall cause I wasn’t hesitant to believe it. But tempted to order the white band to test it out. They have never done a white band before either.....

Well Amazon’s product info still has these claims.

Thanks for adding that screenshot. I definitely think it is very resistant to stains because it's not elastomer. It looks and feels a lot more like silicone, which I don't really know if it actually has higher resistance to stains. I'm assuming that it does just because of the fact that... hey, they released a white one.
We'll have to see.
The good thing is that, customer support is usually really nice. I would expect that if I buy a Fitbit white band and take good care of it, if it stains they'll probably be able to replace it.

Yes - I can confirm that, less than 1 year in, the gold has worn away, and I now have a silver/blue Ionic instead!
It did raise this with Fitbit who said that "our 2-Years Fitbit Limited Warranty does not cover this kind of color wearing off situation".
I had rather hoped that thy would actually feed back the problem to the manufacturing team, but of course there was no mention of doing this - they have my money now after all.
My advice is - don't buy any coloured version if you aren't prepared to see it discolour pretty soon. Go for a silver version without a colour and avoid the problem.
