My Versa does not keep its connected GPS connected when "Run"ning - I've seen the other topics on the forum (about the keep-alive widget, and turning off battery optimisation), and checking the Versa performance using the "Walk" exercise selected seemed to work, but trying it today with "Run" caused it to fail every minute or so.
I have a Google Pixel 2 XL running Android 9.0 (Pie), and I tend to have something playing through Bluetooth headphones as well as cues from a couch-to-5k app.
Is there anything else I could try to improve performance (I'm running the latest app version as well as the latest firmware)?

Tried that this morning and it still didn't stay connected. Never mind, going back down to App v 2.74.2 which I know did the job (and I can see on this thread worked for others: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Versa/Fitbit-Versa-connected-GPS-issues/td-p/2691086/page/18)
I'll lose some of the aspects of the new firmware, but then I don't use them anyway.

@geejaytee have you tried turning off Adaptive battery in the Android battery settings?

Turning adaptive battery off is one of the things I've tried.

@geejaytee did you make sure Fitbit app is not being optimized? I have optimization off, keep alive widget ON, Always Connected ON, All Day Sync ON, and before workout with GPS I turn off the adaptive battery. One more thing to add to this list is screen pinning of the app to lock it.

@geejaytee I pretty much can confirm that. My GPS connection died today. 2.74.2 was the only build that worked for GPS for me. Sighs... Haven't tried it with Pixel though. Do report back how it goes, k? Thanks.

It kept connected, though I did try it with Fitbit pinned. As expected, though, this version of the app doesn't sync with the extra bits on Today (heart rate stats/sleep stats/weight stats &c).

Did this ever get fixed? I am having the same problem. If I remove decide from account and reclaim it it works for a little bit but that is not a real fix.
