My fitbit only connects with my phone in a 10ft range. I dont receive messages if my phone is further than 10ft.is it normal?

 

Also not connecting if wi fi is off

It should connect within bluetooth range which is about 20 feet but it depends on what is between the watch and the phone (anything solid interferes with the signal) and also what else the bluetooth is doing at the time.

Why dont i receive notifications when wi fi is off? How far can my phone be from versa to connect?

Wifi is immaterial to whether you receive notifications or not. Perhaps another app is interfering?
