My Versa register over >10 k steps after I was awake for two hours and no having a very active morning. It since has only recorded 3000 for the rest of the day. I have restarted the device twice and still the problem remains. Help.

I'm up to 3,689 steps...walked to my car, drove to work and walked into the office. Maybe 50 yards total. I've started it twice as well. Also counts 10 times as many floors as well.
