My Fitbit versa seems to he counting steps while I'm riding my motorcycle, which at 55mph is a)not humanly possible and b) completely negating the reason I got this watch. Now my app things I just ran for 45 minutes strait and gave me a boatload of steps I didn't take. Is there any solutions to this?

My bike is no more bumpy than my car is, and the car tracks none. Also my arms move a lot more sitting at my desk at work and register no steps during that time.

I don`t think vibration is the issue... I`m sitting and typing at my work and Versa counts that as steps. I actually had a spreadsheet open and logged my step count and time. My step count went up by 50-100 every 5-10minutes when I was clearly just sitting.

I just don`t get it. I restart my Versa serveral times to prevent count going up but no difference (and no, my wrist isn`t close to my PC tower enough to cause vibration to count as steps) .

Defeats the whole purpose as "fitness tracking" device.

I have the same problem, a 20 min ride to work on my motorcycle and my steps went from 172 to 3661.

On another occasion I clocked up 310 steps putting clothes in my wardrobe as I just stood there.

As a step tracker my new Versa is proving to be not fit for purpose - makes me doubt the accuracy of the other functions given it can’t get the basics right.
