Data not cleared sync and try again message

    I haven't been able to sync my versa 2 since March.  I've picked it up again now ready to give it another go and things are still the same.  It started when I tried to do a factory reset.  It's like its stuck in the middle of the the reset and it keeps saying "Data not cleared.  Sync and try again"  with a big red X on the screen.  I AGAIN need to speak with someone.....I did on the phone months ago and nothing helped.

Let me share with you that, just as mentioned in your post, your device is displaying such error message because the firmware version wasn't updated after you factory restarted your device.
