Disable Message Preview on WhatsApp

I would like to receive notifications of WhatsApp messages on my Versa 2 HOWEVER I do not want a preview of the message to appear on the screen of my watch. When I am working I do not want my colleagues nor clients to view the content of these messages should they happen to be glancing at my watch. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I think this would depend on the operating system on the phone. 

Disabling message preview on Android prevents the message body from being sent, and if it has not been sent, Fitbit will not have any message body to display..

I have an android phone (Samsung with all the latest updates)and within WhatsApp I have done just that - no previews are seen on my phone, even when it is unlocked. Even though this is the case, unfortunwtely my Fitbit Versa 2 displays the preview of the text message.

I'm having the exact same issue. I don't want the text of my message to show up, just a notification to say I have a message - which is what I have on my phone. Is there no way to do this?

Is there any update on this? Seems like a bit of a security flaw if message previews are not showing on your phone, but are showing on your watch. I'll have no choice but to disable notifications altogether if I want to wear my fitbit at work? Really detracts from its value as a smart watch.

I haven't heard of Amy changes made by Apple that works affect this. Without preview enabled ios does not send thre message to Fitbit
