Distance incorrect again after update Fitbit app

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
  • I have my versa since last year, before I had the charge2. In the beginning there were a lot of issues with incorrect distance on Versa while the GPS on the phone worked fine. Then suddenly (I assume after an app-update) my running distance was very accurate with the distance on Strava from my phone GPS. And unfortunately since the last app-update it is incorrect again. So whatever is causing this, can Fitbit please change it back because it is very annoying!

@SuzyQ3 Fitbit is aware of the issue and is looking into it. This will need to be addressed with the update.

I have been able to isolate the the change occurred in December.. I versa was accurately tracking distance fine until then. There was a firmware update released in December. You may be able to isolate the time too. Look at activities log in the fitbit app in November to verify when the distance was correct

I stopped running with Fitbit, I was tired of waiting for them to fix this inaccuracy, so I bought a Polar Vantage M. The distance on that device is always correct.

I agree, it seems to have occurred in early December on my versa, everything was fine in November. Since Dec, the distance (and pace) for all my runs are off. It no longer calculates the correct distances on rides. I rode 100km at the weekend and it said I did 11km, the GPS shows the correct map of the ride. Its ridiculous. Since the exercise UI update it no longer calculate any of these stats correctly. Sort it out Fitbit.
