I am a 30yo male 6'1 402# with a sedentary lifestyle. My BMR is 3280 x 1.2 = 3935. Fitbit says my calories coal is 3935. Do I need to up it?

I suppose it depends what your goals are, firstly. 3935 is based on your current weight, and the number is the calculation of what your body burns just going about its basic functions. Generally speaking, people aren't supposed to eat below their BMR, but your BMR is so high that you have a lot of room to play around with activity levels and calorie consumption. I ran the number myself to confirm, and that was the BMR number I came out with as well. I'm at a loss for what to suggest, so hopefully someone with some more insight comes along to give you some advice.

Bump. If I want to know how many calories I burned in a day could I take my BMR calories and subrract it from my daily total and whatever is left over is my calories burned via activity?
