I can not figure out how to get my new Versa to track the miles when I am on the elliptical?  Anyone know how to do that.  I tried putting it in Work Out mode....  but I do not think it is right.  I love the watch but I love the eliptical...  I loose all those miles I do on that.

I enter the machine distance manually after working out. With varying stride length, it is impossible for a fitbit to track accurately.

On the first page of the phone app you should see a pentagon showing --of-- days exercise. Hit that and it brings you to a screen with a stopwatch in upper right corner. hit that and a screen opens allowing you to track previous exercise. add the miles travelled and it should configure everything else including calories.

I have tried many times to add miles.  It will not.  Unless it had recorded it with the mileage.  I actually just put the watch in Workout Mode now.  Because that will give me Caloires and Mileage.  And Afterwords I edit it to describe Elliptical.

I have found what works for me is to take the watch off and place it near my hip in at top of gym shorts (which have a tight elastic band).  I put on Workout and it measures my heart rate, steps, miles, etc. accurately and then if I want I can go in afterward and edit the Workout to call it Ellipitical but to be honest all my workouts tend to include an use of an ellipitical machine so I often just leave it as Workout.  When I went in and just added it manually, it would only allow me to enter calories burned so I never got credit for the steps, which is frustrating.  (Now if I could get the Versa to track my sleep correctly - I think that is a lost cause until Fitbit addresses that issue with the watch - a friend of mine has the Icon and that does have this problem.)
