Exercise App not showing images after the latest Fitbit OS

Just set up my new Versa2. Not sure if there is a new version off the preinstalled exercise app? Mine doesn't show any pictures anymore. Talking about the app with the choices of Run, Weights, Workout, Swim, etc. Now I only get a list of it. Liked the other version better. Help!

With the new design there aren't any images anymore just the name of the exercise. As seen in the article: How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

I came to ask the same question, and I  have read the reply to your question. I just want to also add that I preferred the previous version as well because I did not need so many exercise options in the list. Why can't we keep the pictures.. I don't need a list of so many exercises. And if I do need to change or add, it can be done from the phone app.

Why are the exercise pictures featured in the promotional videos? This is very misleading and I’m very disappointed having just purchased the Versa 2 today!

It would appear they got rid of it after a recent update.. which is a shame because the new “exercises” layout looks like garbage compared to the one that had pictures. They really need to change it back (or give the option).

Why can't we have an option to retain the background pictures on the exercise app? I am not updating my Ionic because those background pictures look pretty decent on the smartwatch and i really like it. Changing it to a list makes the interface of the watch very dull and plain and unenjoyable. Making a smartwatch in full-color screen proves to be useless if you can't even see pictures on it. A lot of Fitbit watch users are casual athletes who do only 2-3 kinds of activities so the 7 sports that you can include there are enough for a casual user, no need to include a long list of sports. Who in the world does 15 kinds of sports? Well, unless you're a high profile athlete. Why not just give us the option to have the background pictures or not? A lot of people love those pictures as you can see the crispness of the display and the watch looks like very high-end. The exercise list is very dull and boring.

Hi there,
I also have very poor eyesight and now need to put on glasses just before my excercise class starts which is a nightmare.
Before with the images I could see clearly with no need to carry reading glasses round my class.
Bring them back please.

We recognized the issues as well, thank you very much. The thing is we are not happy with the new “design”, and we would

like to have a solution. The new menu is small, unusable and ugly.  I wish I would never download the  new firmware. You can move this topic under Ionic smartwaches too, ‘cuz it affects other “high-end” watch owners as well. Every upgrade is actually a downgrade. Mighty fitbit team, what are you doing?! If it goes like this, my ionic will soon reach my flex2’s level. Yeey

Please bring the pictures back. That was one of the features I JUST bought my Versa 2 for and I was super excited about the photos, only to have them gone after 1 week! So disappointed!

I had my Fitbit Vesa Lite for 3 days before I did the update this morning and realized my exercise images had changed to a list format.  While I was disappointed, I did notice that the stats, once you completed the exercise, were easier to read as they were on a black background as opposed to being on top of the image.  I have poor close up vision so maybe Fitbit changed it for us blind people..lolol.

This is weird... I bought my Fitbit Versa 2 back in January (2020) and have only seen the list of exercises. I got my mom a Fitbit Versa 2 for Mother's Day and upon setting it up for her yesterday, she has the images of the exercises and her Fitbit updated upon setting up. I thought this was a new feature and have been trying to find a way to update mine. I agree, the images look so much nicer than the list.

The new layout without the pictures is garbage. So disappointed, as I obviously use this feature daily would've wanted it to look nice at least, for all the money I paid 🙂

Is anyone from Fitbit listening to the customer feedback?  Agree with posts and am extremely disappointed the pictures connected to the exercises disappeared.  I really dislike the shortcut list! We should have the option to have the pictures.  Why can't we have that option in settings?  The upgrade doesn't feel much like an upgrade, but something was lost.  Please listen to your customers and return the pictures option!

I agree....I purchased as a replacement based on advertisements for the upgrades.....or so I thought. Very misleading for sure. I had to get a new one because the battery on my versa lite would no longer hold a charge after the last update a few weeks ago. Lasted 3 days one day and the next wouldn't last 12 hrs. Planned obsolescence?  I think so. Now not so sure I am pleased with what I thought was an upgrade. 🤷🏼‍:female_sign:
