Hi, I just Factory Reset my Fitbit Versa, and now when I'm trying to do a fresh setup (to add as a device in the Fitbit App), the versa doesn't show up in the bluetooth list. i'm not able to proceed further in the setup process, if any one has a resolution for this, please help.

Thanks and Regards.

I don't know what "bluetooth list" you are referring to.

Did you get to 'Set up a Device' in the app?  Is the list of devices there what you are referring to?

What steps, if any, have you been able to do in the setup process?

Hi, Yes after the factory reset, I tried to "setup up a device", and at
that time my phone's bluetooth tries to search my Fitbit device which I
want to add.

My Versa shows a message saying, "Please download the Fitbit App, to
setup". I mounted the Versa into cradle, its 99%charged, but I don't know
why my phone cannot find out my Versa device while searching for bluetooth
devices, I also removed it from the previously paired devices list. No
other phone or my laptop has the versa in its paired device list.

I just want to know, once if we factory reset the Versa, does the bluetooth
in it turns ON on its own? if not, do we have any other alternative to turn
it ON? because after the factory reset, my versa will only turn ON after
the complete setup, which is not happening because of the lack of bluetooth
handshaking.

You should be logged into the app in the same account you have been using.  After you start 'Set up a Device', it should be showing a list of all the possible Fitbit devices with no regard to bluetooth.  Does it not do that?  This is without even thinking about bluetooth.

1. Firstly I opened the Fitbit App, it asked me to login, I have an
existing account, so I successfully logged in.

2. After that I tried "setting up my versa as a device".

3. I selected "Versa" from the list of Fitbit devices.

4. The App asked me to put the Versa on cradle to charge, I did that,
currently my Versa is 99% charged.

5. Now, the App tries to search my Versa using bluetooth, after which I
shall receive a 4-digit pin from the Versa to enter in the App.

The issue is in point 5, when the App tries to search my versa, it cannot
locate it. Since I factory reset it, I'm not even able to jump to settings
to check if my bluetooth in the versa is turned ON/OFF.

Is there any explicit method to turn ON/OFF the bluetooth in the Versa from
the mode where I'm stuck??

There is no way of ever turning off bluetooth on a Fitbit tracker, other than doing shutdown of whole device.  If tracker is on, assume its bluetooth is also on.  It happens occasionally, when setting up a tracker, that it doesn't give a 4-digit pin.  In that case, you just have to try again, or wait awhile then try again.  Also sometimes helps to move any other bluetooth devices further away, and/or turn off bluetooth on them.  Also could try re-booting phone - I forget if you said you have done that.

I have never had a case where it did any good to be concerned about bluetooth, or looking on phone for bluetooth connections.  I just let Fitbit handle all that.

this is actually what happened  to me as well. The bluetooth list is something that shows up in iPhone setting under Bluetooth. So when we go look to turn on or off the bluetooth we see the list. So it is just another place we can see if it is pairing. I have tried everything that has been suggested on these boards. Nothing has worked. Will be getting an apple watch because this is not acceptable.

Thankyou for replying. This is so annoying when you invest assuming a good
brand but then their services are not so good. Nobody from Fitbit so far
has tried helping me over this query.

I will still look around if I can somehow try to resolve this from any
service centre and if something positive, will surely post it here.

Thanks, stay Fit !
