Firmware Update Versa 2

Trying to figure out what the current firmware is on.  Mine shows 70.8.0, but I’m positive I’ve seen there is newer.  I just hooked up my Versa 2 back up after a few months of non-use.  I’ve gone to help/support and did a search for update but it says it is up to date.  Thanks!

Hello @TheJohnQ and welcome to the Help forum.  All users can check on their device's current firmware in this Help article.   I will jump to the answer and let you know that the Versa 2 current version is 71.1.9.  If you just added it back to your account, it is seen by Fitbit as a new device.  You should get your update in 24-48 hours.  Once I put an Ionic an account and there were seven updates since it's last use.  It took over a week to fully update and it came in two incremental steps.

So, it’s been 48+ hours and I still don’t have the option to update.

When I do the Wi-Fi setup, it connects, but once I click the WiFi settings again, it just runs through the setup again instead of showing me the settings.

And the battery shows gray most of the time on the main screen where you click Versa 2.

Should I attempt a factory reset?  If I do will I lost the progress I’ve had or does it remain on the app?

reset your whole fitbit and your whole phone (not at the same time)

Yep, I reset the Fitbit, removed it from my app, readded it in the app, and it immediately updated and works great again.

Great!

My fitbit's done that before, so I know how to fix it.
