The only way the Versa can measure distance on a bike is by using connected GPS. Is this what you use? Otherwise it has no idea how far you have travelled as it doesnt know what gear you are in etc. The steps the tracker records when you are on your bike are nothing to do with how far you have been - they are a measure of how bumpy the terrain is. Because wrist worn trackers count steps by feeling the movement of your arm and by feelingnthe footfall vibrations. Bumps you go over on a bike feel like steps so it recprds steps.

As far as auto pause goes if you have it turned on in the app, I have found it works well. In your app go to your Versa and select Exercise Shortcuts and select Bike. There you have the option to turn on GPS tracking and Auto Pause. To get auto pause though you need to track using the 3xercise shortcut rather than Smart Track auto detection.
