Hello,
My FItbit Versa lite purchased in August 2019 via Amazon Australia is not working and the entire screen has gone blank. The device was still charged and was syncing to my iphone, but I can see nothing on the device screen.
I have tried following the troubleshooting tips and have tried to reset the device by holding down the back button for 10 seconds or more several times. I have also let the device run flat and recharged hoping this would resolve the issue and encourage a reset but this did not work either.
I really like my fitbit and am very uoset that it will not work . Can you please help ?

@Raan @SunsetRunner welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Versa watches went blank and won't turn on. I appreciate the troubleshooting steps that you tried before contacting our forums. I understand how frustrating this is for you guys.
I would like to know if your watches vibrate when you put them on the charger. If not, please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article may contain steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest.
Finally, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit, not a third party clock face and see if your watches come back to life.
Keep me posted on the outcome.
Best AnswerThe device charges and continues to sound alarms that I have set up. I can not do anything with the device as the screen is blank . the clock face I was using was a fitbit original one. I can not restart or restore to factory settings as the screen is blank and the back button does not allow as reset.
The green lights till flash and the versa syncs to my iphone.
Please advise. I believe I will need a new device

@Raan thank you for getting back. I was able to get in touch with our Support team and told that they sent you an email recently requesting some information. Please reply to their email and they'll be happy to follow up.

Best AnswerI did all those trouble shooting steps. I called into Fitbit support, they had me do all those. nothing worked. they are sending me a replacement. interesting to nate, i plugged the versa lite into the charger again overnight took it out and the display came on! 5 minutes later it was gone again. no lights flashing on the back. so something is definitely wrong. I am suspecting the unit may not be as water resistent as advertised. I am going to not wear the replacement in the shower when I get it.
Best AnswerI called support explained the problem, did some troubleshooting over the phone, did not revive it, they sent me a replacement.
Best AnswerI received my Fitbit lite as a special gift and the screen went blank after 3 weeks. No water usage, not even in the shower. I must share customer service is exceptional in replacing the device. Should it happen again , I will upgrade the device to the next model.
Best AnswerI'm having the same issue. Screen went black, but battery life was still at about 64%. It was turning on and off with vibration and green light flashing on the back. It also was vibrating when I placed it on the charger. I tried all of the trouble shooting suggestions and now it will no longer connect/sync with my phone and won't let me try to change the clock face. What now?
Best AnswerI am having the same problem.
While walking yesterday my screen went totally BLACK and nothing I do will change this.
Prior to yesterday it was working very well and tracking all my activities correctly.
It has been on the charger for over 8 hours and I still cannot get the screen to come off BLACK.
It is not linking to my IPhone any more.

Best AnswerI have never used my watch in the water or even doing anything really rigorous. I spend most of my days sitting at a computer, which is what I was doing when my watch went black. That makes me concerned for the durability! I also still have not heard back from Support so I have no idea if I will get a replacement.
Best Answer*Update* After talking with support for a few days and trying all of the troubleshooting, they sent me a link to either receive a free replacement of the same watch or 50% off the purchase of a new watch. I was not able to recover the screen on my watch.
