Fitbit - Not Pandemic safe

I had a problem with a Versa lite that had been purchased for my child.  The watch had only been used for 2 months when I had to contact customer service to say that it was faulty.  I received a replacement watch this afternoon.  Instead of a  replacement they have sent me a refurbished watch.  That is not what I was told I would receive.  The worst bit is this watch was dirty.  There is visible dirt in the areas where the strap should be joined to the watch - how can this be refurbished - it was not even cleaned.  Does no one know there is a Pandemic going on in Fitbit  - I have no idea where this watch came from or who last owned it.  Not impressed.   Contacted them about this and they have said that I will now need to send this poor version of a replacement back and then once they receive it they will send another one out to me.  In the mean time my daughter has to continue without a present that was given to her in late October.  Clearly Fitbit are not concerned about ensuring their brand or providing a level of service that would be considered acceptable.  Dirt - human skin in watch

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the replacement device. I'm sure Fitbit is working hard to keep everyone safe and support millions of customers while under the pandemic restriction of working from home, social distancing and masking. The restriction put on all of us create challenges and depending on where you live and work, the restrictions are paralyzing. Please assume positive intent and that everyone is doing their best to make this right for you.

Unfortunately cleanliness just does not appear to be on Fitbits radar.  It seems to be working hard on advertising looking for new customers not keeping safe the ones it should be currently servicing.
