Fitbit Privacy

I want to be completely private on Fitbit. I don’t want anyone seeing my step count or anything else for that matter. Can someone please tell me how to do this? I’ve tried searching and all I can find are outdated chats from 2020 about how Fitbit won’t allow you to be private. Surely that has changed now that we are in 2025.

Also it keeps making me choose a topic that has nothing to do with my Charge 6.

@zorahope   Please try the following path:

• Tap on the You icon in the lower right of the Fitbit app
• Tap on your name in the top tile
• Scroll down to the Community & sharing privacy option
• Set everything to Private

Just so you know, all this information became more private when Fitbit deactivated the web dashboard.  For most items, the options are Private or Friends.  But Average Daily Step Count includes. Private, Friends, and Groups (and all of them are closed).
