Fitbit Versa 1 doesn’t work anymore

Hi,

I’ve purchased my Fitbit Versa 1 on 16 March 2019 (in the Netherlands). Yesterday evening, my watch started suddenly blinking (switching between a black screen and showing the fitbit logo) and now my watch doesn’t work anymore (black screen). I’ve tried to reset my watch and to charge the battery, but nothing seems to work. Is there anything else I can try to make my watch work again?

If not, here in the NL the watch has a guarantee of 2 years. Unfortunately, I’ve lost the receipt. However, I do have a proof of purchase (i.e. debit note on my bank account). Also, I expect that the retailer can look the purchase date of my watch through its serial nr (although I couldn’t find such nr on my watch?). Where can I find the serial nr. of my watch and/or proof of when my watch has been activated?

I am not sure what  the policy’s are in the NL but to let you know the Versa Fitbit has since been upgraded to a new model the Versa 2 and Versa 3 according to the info seen on the Fitbit website. I have a Versa 2 myself. I think your serial number can be found usually on the back of the Fitbit or on the app usually under your Fitbits picture I’ll have to check myself to be sure.

Thanks for the reply @Atomic77, let's hope that the retailer can use the serial nr. on the back of my watch to apply the warranty. If they would offer a discount on the versa 2/3, I probably would reject it as my versa stopped working already twice within a 2-year period which is not only disappointing but also not acceptable considering the price of the watch. 

Is there any alternative way to reset my watch, besides pressing the left + right below button of my watch as this doesn't seem to work (my watch keeps on blinking between a black screen vs. showing fitbit logo)?
