Fitbit Versa 3 - delay in timing a run

I’ve recently just purchased the Versa 3 having been a big fan of the original Versa. The built in gps was a selling point…..

1. Can someone help with seemingly 3 seconds delay when recording a run time. When I press ‘play’ to start the run - there’s clearly a delay before it starts recording time - 3seconds at present. How can I change this so when I press play it starts immediately??? It’s annoying to be honest. 
2. any tips on gos connectivity - it takes ages to connect even following advice on these forums.

If you mean the initial timer, then tap the timer circle to skip countdown and start tracking immediately. For GPS, I don't know. I just got used to the fact that it takes ages to connect.

Thanks for the tip! I did think there should be a way to avoid a delay from the initial start. 

Looks like I too will have to get used to the gps issue.
