I’ve been seeing a lot of reports relating to Versa 3 lately and here’s another one. My Fitbit Versa 3 is 17 months old and early September started misrecording certain exercises like stairs climbing and walks. Then it started misreading altogether, I did all the updates, deleted and reinstalled the app etc and even had a long chat with a Fitbit agent in the chat support. Nothing worked so they said that as it was out of warranty, they couldn’t do anything to help, after just 17 months of use.
Anyway, I went to charge it a few days later and happened to pick it up a few minutes after being plugged in and it was absolutely scorching hot so I immediately plugged it out, it died and nothing I’ve done can turn it on. I can’t get anywhere who will try to repair it.
Has anyone had anything similar happen and able to repair? Seems a really bad watch going by the problems others are having I wonder if there’s a fault in them? Overheating is quite dangerous after all.

So sorry. Yes overheating is very dangerous.
